Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his first trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a challenging period, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-term coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, he has steadily progressed in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies the Russian has secured twenty-one championships at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a title is particularly special," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the first title I won when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and regular emotional displays on court had led observers to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, attempting to approach the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a break down in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair traded service breaks in the following set before the challenger, attempting for his first professional victory, gained dominance to create a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 early opportunities in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a return after over two and a half hours.
